In one of the first books written about architecture, Vitruvius gave that advice, along with how to lay out towns, build aquaducts, and make catapults. Today we would probably say “Useful, Sturdy, and Beautiful” and add “Under Budget”.
No one thinks or says “I want a useless, flimsy, ugly, expensive (office, store, repair shop, home).” But, look around your community and you will find examples of missed opportunities. Your project does not have to be one of them!
